Akademik & Industri

Assalamualaikum,

Terima kasih

  1. Dear Yb Dato’ and rest of the readers.

It seems that Dato’ has being actively writing and put up good relevant current issues to the public and I sincerely appreciate this sincere effort.

It is true that there should be a coeficient between the universities and the outside world or the real indutrial world. We should not only look on the macro perspective but also micro perspective.

    Micro perspective:

2 main factors which is lacking in many universities:
    1. Lectures are given in theory and not being related directly to industrial reality. Hence the case study presented to the student is almost an old case study and much more to be obsolete in nature.
    2. The lectures presented are theorytical and students were not being exposed to any latest tools to be used. Example, we could advice the student to have properbusiness management but the question is what are the tools to be used? Theorytical guide is present but the applicational tools are absent.

    Macro perspective:

One main reasons. The universities fail to have collaborations with the industry practiced company. It might not be the mistakes of the universities only but we could also blame the private sector who urged agressively only on profits, leaving behing the social obligations.

It is propose that both parties objective to be met at a focul point while both parties could achieve their objectives. Without this focul point meeting there will only be a wide gap of indeferences.

Hence leaving the young generations at huge loss of not being competence.

    Thank you

    Mohd Zulkufli Zakaria
